Day 1: St. Petersburg
Start your day with a visit to extravagant Tsar’s Village, a summer residence of the Russian Emperors with its beautiful pavilions, lakes, gardens and the stunning Catherine Palace.
Take a guided tour of the Catherine Palace with Amber Room. Walk through a marvelous park near the Palace and visit the favorite residence of the last Russian Emperor – the Alexander Palace.
In the afternoon, visit the Yusupov Family Palace–the famous as the scene of the assassination of Grigory Rasputin. The Yusupov Family Place is one of the few aristocratic homes in the city to have retained many of its original interiors.
Proceed to the Peter and Paul Fortress, the oldest building in the city and visit St.Peter and St.Paul Cathedral. Overnight in Kempinski Hotel Moika 22.
Day 2: St. Petersburg
Start your day with a visit to the Russian Versailles, Peterhof with a short metro ride enroute. Enjoy a guided tour of the Grand Palace before the crowds with a specially arranged early opening. Walk through the famous Peterhof Fountain Park and return to the city by hydrofoil (from May to October).
In the afternoon visit famous Hermitage Museum, the former home of tsars that contains a collection of more than three million works of art and artifacts from all over the world.
The tour ends with a photo stop at the Spilt Blood Cathedral. [B]
