Cologne, Germany’s fourth biggest city, has been shaped by 2,000 years of cultural history and today is a fascinating combination of Roman, medieval and modern influences. The city’s landmarks include the majestic Gothic Cathedral, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and the world-famous Cologne museums, like the Ludwig Museum of contemporary art and the Chocolate Museum. Exploring the Rhine valley on the ships of KD Rhine ship line is a must for visitors to the city. The genuine Eau de Cologne can be experienced at the 4711 house of perfume. Also Cologne is a leading medical center popular by patients from all over the world, including the US and Canada.

11:15 am – Transfer to Excelsior Hotel Ernst and meet Mr. Meyers, Director of Sales & Marketing followed by check-in.
12:00 pm – Lunch at the hotel’s Hanse Stube Restaurant.
1:30 pm – Meet in the lobby with Mr. Gosciniak, Head of Marketing, Cologne Tourist Board.
1:40 pm – Walk along the river embankment to the Cologne Chocolate Museum.
2:00 pm – Visit the Cologne Chocolate Museum, where you can look forward to an informative, fascinating, and amusing journey through the world of chocolate. Explore the legendary chocolate fountain and the huge Lindt chocolate store.

Day 5/ May 11/ Saturday
10:00 am – After breakfast, meet in the lobby with your tour guide, Mr. von Laufenberg.
10:30 am – Take a short walk to the House of 4711, where you’ll discover the art of perfumery in the Fragrance Seminar. Create your very own Eau de Cologne and take it home with you.
12:00 pm – Enjoy lunch at Peters Brewery, followed by a city tour. Explore the historic city center on foot with your tour guide, who will showcase the city’s highlights and provide you with ideas and tips for your stay. Experience the unique atmosphere of a city that is 2000 years old yet vibrant, diverse, and modern. Marvel at the magnificent Gothic Cathedral, uncover impressive remnants of Roman times, and stroll along the banks of the Rhine.
4:00 pm – Return to your hotel for free time.
Day 6/ May 12/ Sunday
After breakfast and check-out, transfer to the train station (time TBD).
Transfer to Dusseldorf by train.
