On arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport your driver will be waiting to take you to the unforgettable Sea of Galilee.

Day 2 Thur.
TIBERIAS / AROUND THE SEA OF GALILEE / UPPER GALILEE / CAESAREA PHILIPPI / JORDAN RIVER / TIBERIAS

Your tour begins in Tabgha where Jesus challenged His disciples to feed a crowd of 5000 at the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes. Visit the Church of Primacy and the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered the moving Sermon on the Mount. Pause at the magnificent waterfalls of Banias (Caesarea Philippi) where Jesus called Peter “the Rock” and promised him the keys of the Kingdom. Baptisms and renewal of vows can be done at the River Jordan.

Day 3 Fri. TIBERIAS / CANA / NAZARETH / MEGIDDO / MT.TABOR / TIBERIAS

A morning drive to Cana where Jesus performed the first of His miracles. Continue to Nazareth an important pilgrimage site to visit Joseph’s Workshop, Mary’s Well and the Church of the Old Synagogue which marks the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry.

Drive along the Jezreel Valley to Tel Megiddo and the little village of Naim where Jesus raised the son of the poor widow from the dead. A minivan will take you to the top of Mt. Tabor to see the Church of the Transfiguration.

Day 4 Sat.
TIBERIAS / SAMARIA / JERICHO / JERUSALEM

Journey to the ancient city of Samaria, capital of the Kingdom of Israel in the 9th and 8th century. Travel along the Jordan Valley to Jericho, the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world where more than 20 successive settlements have been unearthed by archaeologists. Continue to the Holy City of Jerusalem.

Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 5 Sun.
JERUSALEM / OLD CITY / VIA DOLOROSA / CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE / MT. OF OLIVES / JERUSALEM

Enter the Old City and visit the Cenacle (Room of the Last Supper). Next is Dormition Abbey built to honor the Assumption of Mary. See the Western Wall (also known as the Wailing Wall), the Temple Mount, the El Aksa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. Visit the Herodian Estates and discover how wealthy Jerusalemites lived 2,000 years ago.

Stroll down the Via Dolorosa, the Way of Grief held to be the path along which Jesus walked carrying His cross on the way to His Crucifixion marked by Nine Stations of the Cross. The remaining Five Stations inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Drive to the Mount of Olives where several important events in the life of Jesus as related in the Gospels took place and from which Jesus ascended to Heaven.

Day 6 Mon.
JERUSALEM / WILDERNESS OF JUDEA / MASADA / DEAD SEA / QUMRAN / JERUSALEM

Leaving Jerusalem we head for King Herod’s isolated mountaintop fortress of Masada. Ascend by cable car to the top to visit the ruins of the fortifications where 980 Jewish zealots chose to commit mass suicide rather than be enslaved by the Romans. Time for a swim in the buoyant waters of the Dead Sea before stopping in Qumran where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were found in a cave in 1947 by a Bedouin shepherd.

Return to Jerusalem for overnight.

Day 7 Tue.
JERUSALEM / NEW CITY / EIN KAREM / JERUSALEM / MODEL / ISRAEL MUSEUM / BETHLEHEM / JERUSALEM

Southwest of Jerusalem is the village of  Ein Karem, home of Elizabeth, wife of Zacharia. Proceed to Yad Vashem, the moving and somber Memorial dedicated to the Jewish Victims of the Holocaust.

Visit the Israel Museum, Israel’s national museum housing the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. See the famous model of the Second Temple recreated on a scale of 50:1. Afterwards travel to Bethlehem believed to be the traditional birthplace of Jesus to visit the Church of the Nativity, one of Bethlehem’s major attractions.

Return to Jerusalem for overnight.
