Day 1/ March 24/ Monday

Flight TP 262 from Toronto (YYZ) to Lisbon (LIS) at 22:45.

 Day 2/ March 25/ Tuesday (L) – ARRIVAL

 Arrive in LIS at 10:45. Meet your CG Journeys representative and transfer to Olissippo Lapa Palace. After a check in and short break, enjoy a hotel inspection followed by a welcome lunch. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3/ March 26/ Wednesday/ (B,L) – LISBON

After breakfast and check out, depart to the district of Castelo on a convenient TukTuk ride towards the Castle of São Jorge located on the highest hill of Lisbon, one of the most emblematic monuments of the capital. Descend to the old district of Alfama, known for its white houses, labyrinthine streets, inner courtyards and dead ends. Lunch TBD. Continue to Belém to see the Belém tower, the Monument to the Discoveries and the Jerónimos Monastery. Visit the National Coach Museum containing one of the most important and rich collections of coaches in the world. Transfer to Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon for a check in and overnight.

 Day 4/ March 27/ Thursday (B,L) LISBON | SINTRA | CASCAIS | ESTORIL

 After breakfast, depart to Sintra, a magnificent UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover the charms and history of the town that enchanted kings and poets. Visit the romantic Pena Palace or Sintra’s Royal Palace (subject to availability). If the weather permits, we will stop at the Westernmost point of continental Europe, Cabo da Roca. Enjoy the sea views along the coast on our way to Cascais. Lunch TBD. Continue to the gardens of the Casino in Estoril, the place where Ian Fleming got his idea for the James Bond movies. Return to the hotel for an overnight.

Day 5/ March 28/ Friday (B,D) – LISBON | ÉVORA | ESTREMOZ

After breakfast, depart to Évora, a World Heritage Site that houses a superb monumental complex including the Roman Temple of Diana, the imposing Cathedral, the Church of São Francisco and its mysterious Chapel of Bones. Enjoy wine tasting at a wine estate. Continue to Estremoz, known as the “white city” due to its white houses, it is also one of the largest exporters of white marble in the world. Return to the hotel for a dinner and overnight.

Day 6/ March 29/ Saturday/ (B,L) – LISBON | FÁTIMA | COIMBRA | PORTO

After breakfast, we depart to Fátima, a place of faith and the pilgrimage world center. Continue to Coimbra, the country’s former capital, famous for its University, the oldest in Portugal and one of the oldest in Europe, which over time has shaped its image to become “the city of students”. Lunch TBD. Enjoy a stroll in the oldest part of Coimbra made of narrow and steep streets that lead to the top of the hill. Transfer to Intercontinental Porto for a check in and overnight.

Day 7/ March 30/ Sunday/ (B,L) – PORTO

After breakfast, enjoy a day tour of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the 12th century Cathedral and the Church of São Francisco, one of the most remarkable examples of Portuguese Baroque. Continue to Lello Bookstore, the Majestic Café and the magnificent São Bento Station. Lunch TBD. Visit the Serralves Park which extends beyond Casa de Serralves across 18 hectares including gardens and a Romantic lake. Finish the day with wine tasting at Port Wine Cellar and a 50-minutes boat trip on the Douro river. Return to the hotel for an overnight.

Day 8/ March 31/ Monday/ (B,D) – PORTO | VIANA DO CASTELO | BRAGA | GUIMARÃES

After breakfast and check out, depart to the gem of Northern Portugal – Viana do Castelo, a seaside town by the Lima River famous for its craftsmanship. Continue to Braga, one of the oldest Christian cities in the world. Drive to the city of Guimarães, also known as the birthplace of Portugal; its historic center has been declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Return to Porto, check into Infante Sagres Hotel for a dinner and overnight.

Day 9/ April 1/ Tuesday/ (B,D) – PORTO

 A day at leisure in Porto. In the evening, enjoy a hotel inspection followed by a farewell dinner.

Day 10/ April 2/ Wednesday/ (B) – DEPARTURE

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for TP 1935 flight to Lisbon at 11:30. Arrive in Lisbon at 12:00. Depart for Toronto on TP 259 at 16:45. Arrive in YYZ at 21:00.
